WebAug 29, 2013 · To me, a far more interesting comparison would be small-chamber Edelbrock heads versus a 906, both ported to similar configurations, where the iron head is generating a point less compression than the Es to equalize for the lost thermal efficiency of the lighter metal. I'm betting it would be a close outcome. WebNov 12, 2024 · If you could write up a comprehensive article outlining basics to porting it would only help others. I have a set of Toyota 3URFE heads (W/supercharger) I want to port. It makes sense for my application. I can’t find a shop near me (Atlanta area) who will do the work. They only work on domestic GM, Ford, Mopar, etc.

Will achieve 270 with ease measured on my 1020 bench and 285 If I push the limits and take a risk in blowing through in the bowl area. The 915 will make more power because of the chamber. The Victor heads also have a couple of really odd design features such as the valve cover rail being the wrong size, a lot of extra material around the intake ports (makes the heads super heavy) and a short installed height for the spring.

Then blended & widened this cut out to each side across entire short turn apex.
